SNIP (Shared Navigation Integration
Project) is now into its 13th phase and consists of
over 4 million kilometres of SEISMIC NAVIGATION DATA.
The
SNIP database was developed in order overcome the
inadequacies of existing navigation by providing
data in a uniform, quality controlled format on
a single datum. This comprehensive dataset includes
onshore and offshore seismic navigation data from
Australia and New Zealand.
The large volume of data in SNIP enables us to provide
the following products to your company.
Exclusive
SEISMIC NAVIGATION DATA verification or compilation
projects conducted on your company's blocks or interest
areas.
Stick
maps and other productions may be supplied to clients.
All
navigation data in AGD84 and WGS84 (~GDA90).
DIGITAL
WATER DEPTHS extracted from the SEISMIC NAVIGATION
DATA.
Microsoft
Access database with documentation on data sources,
acquisition parameters, applied data shift and data
reliability.
To
trial a zipped, fully operational, non-password protected
version of SNIP Phase XIII database, please click
here. The database contains ten full records and
survey names only for 785 surveys, to show how much
navigation data we have transcribed and converted
into common datums in the database so far (over 4
million km). Please note that the database can only
be used in conjunction with Access 2000. The file
size is 1538kb.
Phase XIII of the database
has now been released.
