The central portions of this area have traditionally been regarded as having a limited access to valid oil-prone source rocks.

However, the intensive exploration campaign presently ongoing in the surrounding areas have highlighted the oil potential, in particular for the southern and eastern portions of the blocks to be released.

Fugro Multi Client Services has fully reprocessed most of the public domain data available in the area. The considerable improvements made by this reprocessing make the open-file data redundant as it enables the mapping of the reservoir units.

The 50,870 kms of non-exclusive reprocessed data is a cost-effective tool to assess the petroleum potential of the area
